Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Burlington County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept long enough to review it and respond. We keep such correspondence within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring site, when one is available
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Burlington County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It provides general directions to Burlington County record custodians, New Jersey courts, the New Jersey State Police State Bureau of Identification, and the New Jersey Sex Offender Internet Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not turned into consumer reports or personal records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices, so visitors should read those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Burlington County offices, New Jersey court portals, state agencies such as the Attorney General's OPRA office, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy rules apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across more than one site to select ads. Their systems, policies, and controls govern that tracking.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may still be available to:
